Modern warehouses use Pallet Racking Solutions to maximize the storage space available. This solution is a material handling storage system designed to store materials on pallets. The varieties of pallet racking systems that allow storage of materials in rows with multiple levels are :
- Heavy Duty Cantilever Racking System: Long products such as lengths of timber, plastic pipes, and steel rods are stored in this system. This system consists of long arms coming out of a metal framework specially designed to store long or bulky items.
- Selective Racking Systems: This most common and popular pallet racking system allows pallets to be accessed from the structure’s aisle. This system allows direct access and can be configured to almost any size.
- Push Back Racking Systems: The racking solution that offers last in fist out rotation has fabricated forms in structural or roll options. This system increases accessibility of products and allows specific selection of inventory products.
- Drive-in Racking Systems: This system is designed to maximize the use of floor space within the warehouse and also uses last-in first-out rotation. This system allows fork-lifts to make their way through aisles to continue stocking and adding other pallets.
- Pallet Flow Racking Systems: Commonly used in high density storage with multiple order picking levels. Loads are added at the higher end and removed from the lower end.
- Carton Flow Racking Systems: The racking system uses rear load design which allows easy operated and managed inventory. It allows storage optimization and maximum efficiency.
