Types Of High Density Pallet Racking

High Density Pallet Racking systems provide compacted efficient storage of palletized bulky inventory. The few high density racking systems are:

  • Push back racking: A first in, last out push back system like the Cantilever Racking system, is designed to offer increased storage density with more pick faces than traditional high density system.  This system is best choice for high density fast moving distribution in ware houses.

  • Drive in racking: Ideal for high density pallet storage application. This first in last out style of racking has higher storage density than any other single selective racking design. The drive-in rack configuration allows forklift to drive directly into the lane using common entry and exit points.

  • Pallet flow racking: This system offers labour and space saving over selective or ‘drive in’ racking systems. Pallet racking system use a calculated angle of decent to advance pallets along roller track or track beds from restocking position to the picking position of the system.

  • Double deep racking: Double deep or double reach pallet racking is easy and cost effective way to increase storage capacity using standard single selective racking components. Using a special deep reach fork lift this type of system provides two deep storage capacity and ideal for multiple application

  • Very narrow aisle racking: It is the use of a single selective pallet racking in a tighter configuration to provide maximum storage density and still allows maximum selectivity.

These are the top five high density racking systems which are used depending upon the items being stored.
